Jerry Lard

Jerry Lard is a piano technician in the Muscle Shoals area in Northern Alabama. The region is famously known for its string of recording studios for which Jerry has served as technician for over 50 years. Jerry tuned pianos for a number of music stores in the area, beginning with Forbes in Birmingham. He attended piano technicians school in Georgia and found his way to Muscle Shoals where he also tunes for the local colleges. Jerry has fond memories of his recording studio projects, including refinishing the now-famous Aretha Piano at FAME Studios and working closely with many performers over the years including Lou Rawls and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
