Michael Des Barres is a pioneering glam rock musician, best known for writing the 1980s New Wave hit "Obsession." In 1972, he formed the glam rock band Silverhead and has always stayed grounded in his musical roots, fronting his own band in recent years. In 1985, he replaced Robert Palmer for one American tour as lead singer for the Power Station, which Michael has called a "great moment in my life." Alongside his music career, Michael became a well-known actor yet remains passionate about music. He's also the founder and cheerleader for the organization Rock Against Drugs, reflecting his commitment to using music for positive change.
