NAMM hosted a free webinar on May 29 for companies selling products in the European Union (EU) to understand how to comply with General Product Safety Regulations (GPSR) by December 13, 2024, in order to access that market. From labeling requirements to understanding the difference between an economic operator and an authorized representative (or responsible person), RecallDesk founder Rutger Oldenhuis provided a comprehensive overview of GPSR and its requirements.

Guests included Kevin Eldridge, Director of Quality and Compliance at Yamaha Guitar Group and Mary Luehrsen, Senior Policy Advisor at NAMM who engaged in a lively Q&A with attendees from eight countries impacted by the new regulations.

NAMM tracks these regulations and convenes an informal working group to gather and share information. If you would like to participate, please contact us at publicaffairs@namm.org with the subject line "GPSR."
