Marcel Messner grew up surrounded by the sound of the accordion, making it no surprise that he became a passionate player. Music was in his blood! At that time his uncle served as president of Hohner and became young Marcel’s mentor, while his father, Hans-Peter, had a distinguished career in the industry. Hans-Peter founded GEWA, where Marcel now serves as CEO, steering the company to new heights. When he joined, GEWA already had a prestigious lineup of brands, but it was Marcel who further strengthened partnerships with iconic names such as DW Drums. He also collaborated with his father to establish in-house brands and expand the company’s distribution network. With a strong background in marketing and social media, Marcel has significantly increased global awareness of GEWA and its ever-growing portfolio of musical products.
