Latin Percussion has been a pioneer in percussion instruments and accessories since its inception. The brand's history began when Martin Cohen founded the company in 1964. Inspired by drummer Gordon "Specs" Powell, a studio musician and longstanding member of the CBS network orchestra, Cohen designed and manufactured the first stand for percussion instruments.
