David Marquette’s energetic passion for music drives every aspect of his career, making him a true pioneer in the world of audio engineering. Early on, David juggled playing in bands at night and working construction by day. However, one fateful construction job at a recording studio changed the course of his life. Driven to enhance the sound quality in studios, David set out to revolutionize the gear used to record music. With an obsession for improving microphone amplifiers, equalizers, and limiters, he focused on creating vintage-inspired equipment fused with cutting-edge technology to achieve unparalleled sound. In 1994, David founded Marquette Audio Labs, which became the parent company for Mercury Recording Equipment, established five years later. Launching groundbreaking products at NAMM shows, including his innovative limiter in 2024, David’s relentless drive to perfect audio equipment allows musicians to focus solely on their art, knowing their sound is in expert hands.
