Diane Clark
Oral History Information
Diane Clark enthusiastically joined the Lowrey Organ Company team in 1977 when it was owned by Chicago Musical Instruments (CMI). She first worked closely with Billy Wenlund in the sales and marketing department and then when Dennis Houlihan returned from his 5 year assignment with Lowrey in London, worked side by side with him. Diane diligently assisted with the infamous Lowrey breakfasts which were held during the NAMM Shows and helped coordinate and execute both national and international NAMM Shows. The Lowrey breakfasts seamlessly brought together 1,000 customers and partners, which was not an easy task before computers, cell phones, etc., yet she thoroughly enjoyed the experience of working at Lowrey. In the early 1980s, Diane was provided the opportunity to work directly with the JVC team in Japan and learned much about Japanese culture. She developed many long-lasting friendships while in the music industry, particularly with Dennis and those on the engineering team based in Japan, including Kazuo Ishibashi.
