Arthur Knopp

Arthur Knopp is the founder of the music retail shop in Germany that carries his name (Musihaus Arthur Knopp in Saarbrucken). His passion for the industry has not only made his own store a success, but has resulted in many positions in a variety of organizations that have assisted in the growth and expansion of the German music market. As president of the German Music Retail Association (Gesamtverband Deutscher Musikfachgeschafte) Arthur has played a vital role in the association’s successful educational programs launched in the late 1990s. During the following decade, Arthur worked closely with NAMM to provide his views on services that both organizations could work on together.
