Benjamin Scheuer

Benjamin Scheuer is a musician and songwriter who specializes in combining his passions for all style of music and musical theater to express himself. He began songwriting at a young age and realized early on that it was what he wanted to do with his life. In 2014, Benjamin wrote and performed The Lion, a one-man autobiographical musical that went on to win the 2015 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Solo Performance. Benjamin is also a strong supporter of music education, and a self-proclaimed “gear-nerd,” who prides himself on knowing enough about his equipment, such as microphones, to optimize the experience. During his 2020 NAMM Oral History interview, Benjamin performed a few of his songs including one from The Lion, “Weather the Storm.”
