Bill Piburn

Bill Piburn wrote four method books for the Mel Bay Publishing Company on the art of guitar playing.  His writing was well received by many who praised him for his unique and easy to understand style.  Finger Style Guitar magazine had printed only its first issue and was looking for a writer when Bill joined the staff.   Bill became an important part of the magazine and added several elements and segments such as his interviews with performers like Chet Atkins, John Williams, Larry Carlton and others.  Bill worked his way up to becoming editor of the magazine, where he remained for a full decade.
