Brendan Murphy

Brendan Murphy is the fourth generation of Murphys to hold an executive position with the M. Steinert & Sons Company, which follows three generations of Steinerts. For most of that time (back to 1869 in fact), they have proudly represented Steinway Pianos. Brendan played a critical role in the moving of the store for the first time in 120 years to two locations. The first, around the corner from Steinert Hall, is located at Park Plaza at 1 Columbus Avenue in Boston. The second location Brendan created is on Damrell Street in South Boston. The Damrell Street location is a converted manufacturing facility that was built to make heavy equipment for wood cutting. Among their customers in 1950 were Steinway & Sons!
