Dr. Peter D’Antonio

Dr. Peter D’Antonio, born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1941, is a distinguished scientist and innovator in the field of acoustics. With a Ph.D. from the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn, Dr. D’Antonio's expertise spans spectroscopy, diffraction physics, electron microscopy, and architectural acoustics. After a notable career at the Naval Research Lab, he ventured into the music industry, where he revolutionized recording studio design. In 1983, he founded RPG Diffusor Systems, Inc., pioneering sound diffusion technology and holds numerous patents. Dr. D’Antonio's contributions include lecturing, publishing scientific articles, and co-authoring reference textbooks on acoustics. Currently serving as Director of Research at RPG Acoustical Systems, LLC, and Director of the Acoustical Research Center, he continues to shape the future of acoustic engineering and critical listening room design.
