Elton Bradman, a musician since the age of 7 and a writer at 15, has been fortunate to stay busy in both professions. Landing his dream job at Bass Player Magazine just in time for Y2K led to a stint at Guitar World's Bass Guitar and segued into editing work for Rolling Stone, Vibe, and the City of New York. Gigs, touring, recording, and musical midwifery followed, as did one year as PR/social/booker at a tiny music venue (and a Grammy nomination). A passion for film composition sent Elton to grad school, jump-starting a new career in sound design and music for theater, animation, documentaries, features, and shorts. Elton is still active playing, practicing, building community, scoring films, working in theater, and writing about music, mostly for Acoustic Guitar, Yamaha Music USA, and Bass Magazine, the online journal he co-founded in 2019 with Chris Jisi and Jon D'Auria.
