Gary Kilday

Gary Kilday took a chance on an old piano bench maker in 1988 that had fallen on hard times. Since that time the company, renamed GRK, has kept the tradition of customer service and quality product that traces back to the original business, the Manual Arts Furniture Corporation formed in 1915. Manual pioneered knockdown benches and a host of other knockdown furniture. During the 1930s the company employed more than 150 people, dedicated to the little things that mean a lot–such as ensuring the cover of the bench matched the window dressing for displays. That attention to detail continues in the company.
