Harry Steinway

Harry Steinway is the great-great-grandson and namesake of Steinway & Sons Piano Company’s founder, Heinrich Engelhard Steinweg. Harry has a deep understanding of his ancestors’ contributions to the family business and piano industry, particularly regarding their innovations and business practices (many of which are still in operation today). He worked closely with his father, Henry Z. Steinway, during the 1970s before pursuing his own passion for architecture. During his NAMM interview, Harry reflected on his years working at Steinway, which included a tenure in the marketing department with another industry pioneer, Dick Gigax.
