Helena Armandula
Oral History Information
Helena Armandula was a shining example of a dedicated volunteer serving at NAMM’s Museum of Making Music. In fact, in 2023, at the time of her interview, Helena was presented the Volunteer of the Year Award! Her smile greeted the museum’s visitors as Helena was often found running the gift shop. She enjoyed those she worked with and loved engaging with the museum’s guests. Helena had one of the most fascinating backstories as she was an optical engineer working at Caltech. She was on the team that won the Nobel Prize in Physics for Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory.
