Jim Fitzpatrick

Jim Fitzpatrick’s passion as an award-winning sound mixer can be traced back to fourth grade when he began playing trumpet and later trombone in the school band. During those early years Jim also developed an interest in electronics. While acting as a roadie for his band as a teenager, he would fix up the gear and learn the inner workings of all the sound equipment. In 1975 he served as the maintenance man for the Record Plant in New York. Jim later moved to Westlake Audio where he helped design and build studio A and B. Studio A was used for Michael Jackson’s record-breaking album and is known as “The Thriller Room.” Utilizing the latest technology, film scoring and arranging followed, and Jim has worked on several successful projects since including TV’s Family Guy and such movies as The Wedding Singer, Waterboy and Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
