Jon Goldman

Jon Goldman is the great-grandson of the founder of Goldman's Pawn Shop in Evansville, Indiana. He grew up listening to stories of how the store began and how it grew over the years. There was even a time, in the summer of 1965, when Jon worked in the family store. The store opened in 1899 and a few years later moved into its current location, a building which was once a carriage company. Jon pursued his interest in the law, becoming a local lawyer, but always had an interest in the family’s retail business. Jon recalled many fascinating stories, including the time Tom Hanks came in to buy a guitar.
