Luis Fabara picked up the bass in 1995 to join a local band in his hometown in Ecuador. Influenced by heavy metal legends like Iron Maiden and Ozzy Osbourne, Luis developed a distinctive playing style that fused aggressive rock energy with Latin rhythms and textures. As his musicianship grew, he realized the limited access to quality basses and gear in his region, especially for serious players. In response, he opened Pro Audio, a specialty shop focused on guitars and basses. It quickly became a landmark for Ecuadorian musicians, offering high-end instruments, such as G&L and PRS, for the first time in the country. Attending the NAMM show was pivotal for Luis, expanding his industry knowledge and forging friendships that helped grow his business. Despite his success as an entrepreneur, Luis remains a dedicated performer, continuing to play in his band and sharing the joy of music with audiences and fellow musicians alike.
