Ricky Zayas

Ricky Zayas remembers with a smile purchasing his first trumpet back in 1987 for just $60.00! The instrument came about based on the urging of a neighbor and the influence of his band director, Mr. Martinus. Ricky served as a band director for over twenty years in Puerto Rico, during which he noticed a real need for higher quality musical instruments. In 2012, along with his wife, opened R Zayas Music and soon became St. Louis Music’s main Puerto Rician dealer for all of their brands. They also carry several other brands including Conn-Selmer and Eastman Strings. At the heart of his business is his desire to help his customers of all ages follow their interests in making music!
