Rob Shanahan

Rob Shanahan was interviewed on the day Palm Springs unveiled a star on their Walk of Stars dedicated to Hal Blaine. The legendary studio drummer was first a hero then a friend to Rob, who could not say enough about the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer. Rob also spoke with us about his deep passion for music and photography and how he found a special connection with the music products industry and has worked with several companies taking images of their innovative products such as Paiste Cymbals, Yamaha, and Drum Workshop (DW Drums). Rob also takes photographs of celebrities and is especially proud of his connection with Ringo Starr. His 2011 book, with a foreword by Ringo, is entitled Volume 1: Through the Lens of Music Photographer Rob Shanahan.
