Robert Hudson

Robert Hudson is the owner of Ken-tron Mfg., Inc. located in Owensboro, Kentucky. The name is short for Kentucky Electronics, which was the name of the company when he started working for them in 1960. Back then the wire company only had 13 employees and focused on providing thin wire for radio tubes. The company hit its peak with over 600 employees later that decade when color television tubes required special wire. Bob purchased the company in 1983 and soon after they began supplying wire for guitar strings, which grew to become a big part of their business. By the way, Bob’s love for music goes back to his childhood when his father, Ray, had a radio and later a Saturday night television program featuring his band, the Kentucky Mountain Boys.
