Rock Clouser
Oral History Information
Rock Clouser is the String Brand Manager for KHS America but would you believe his passion for music started with the zither? His fondness for the instrument ignited a passion for playing stringed instruments. By the time he was nine he was playing guitar and soon after studied the string bass. While in college he focused on broadcasting, creating jingles for the school’s radio station. His introduction to the music products industry began when he provided some 50 lessons a week at Don’s Music and Opus One, which he continued for nearly a decade. He gathered manufacturing experience at Hanser Music Group, staying for 17 years and helping design models in their B.C.Rich guitar line. Rock enjoyed a few years at Conn-Selmer working in the classical and concert division before accepting a role at Hohner focusing on the Latin market with stringed instruments. The company merged with KHS, which is where you can find Rock today, among the stringed instruments of course.
