2005 NAMM Show to Feature Streamlined NAMM University Courses for Attendees
New Breakfast Sessions to Feature Industry Experts Discussing Hot Issues; “Fast Talk” Show-Floor Classes Offer New Business Ideas
NAMM, the International Music Products Association, today announced two major changes to its popular NAMM University professional development sessions at the upcoming 2005 NAMM Show.
First, in an effort to help Members maximize their time on the show floor, NAMM U courses will be offered with a free breakfast before show hours each morning, with a follow-up session at lunchtime. These morning and lunchtime discussions will cover a wide variety of topics from deflation to the music store’s role in today’s communities and will feature respected industry influencers and leaders.
Second, NAMM will offer more than 40 shorter, focused “Fast Talk” sessions during show hours at the new NAMM “Idea Center” in Hall B of the Anaheim Convention Center. These streamlined 20-minute courses can easily be squeezed in between appointments and are designed to give NAMM Members new ideas that they can implement into their businesses upon returning from the show. A complete listing of all NAMM University sessions can be found at www.thenammshow.com beginning in early December.
“Helping to educate the industry continues to be one of NAMM’s most important roles,” said Ken Wilson, director of professional development, NAMM. “We believe this new approach is more respectful of show attendees’ time while still providing them with the learning and new ideas they come to the NAMM Show to experience.”
