NAMM Foundation Now Accepting Applications for 2011 President’s Innovation Award for Exemplary College Students
Recipients Receive Opportuntity to Attend the 2011 NAMM Show
The NAMM Foundation announced today that it is accepting applications at www.nammfoundation.org for its 2011 President’s Innovation Award to support under graduate and graduate students pursuing careers in the music products industry.
The cash award supports qualified college students to attend NAMM’s annual global music products trade show “The NAMM Show,” in Anaheim, Calif., January 13-16, 2011 where they will be invited to participate in a special collegiate program offering advice, mentoring and networking with industry laureates and professionals.
Awardees will also be encouraged to visit the more than 1,400 exhibits during the four-day event, representing the product offerings available from the industry’s top-tier global music product manufacturers.
“It is this type of up-close and hands-on experience that helps industry hopefuls envision their future in the music products industry,” said Joe Lamond, president and CEO, NAMM. “This initiative was created to support one-on-one mentoring, an opportunity for networking at the largest music products trade show in the world, and a chance for students to learn from the industry’s most successful and seasoned professionals.”
To apply for a 2010 President’s Innovation Award, interested parties should visit www.nammfoundation.org or e-mail grants@namm.org. Submission Deadline: Sept. 30, 2010. Awards will be announced on November 1, 2010.
