The NAMM TEC Awards Announces Final Call for Entries

The NAMM TEC Awards committee has announced that the call for entries to be honored at The 36th annual NAMM TEC Awards will close on August 31, 2020. Companies are encouraged to enter their products and/or projects in one of 23 Technical Achievement and eight Creative Achievement categories to be considered for recognition. https://www.tecawards.org/call-for-entries

Entries will be reviewed by a group of industry experts from all facets of the pro audio and sound production industries to create the final slate of nominees. Final nominees are those products and projects that, in the opinion of the nominating panel, represent superior accomplishment in their respective fields.

Presented annually during The NAMM Show, the NAMM TEC Awards recognize the individuals, companies and technical innovations behind the sound of recordings, live performances, films, television, video games, and multi-media. In 2020, Joni Mitchell was presented with the Les Paul Innovation Award, an honor which recognizes musical artists whose work has exemplified the creative application of audio technology, and the Hall of Fame Award, recognizing audio pioneers, as well as the music industry’s most accomplished producers and audio technicians, was presented to the creative powerhouse behind Pensado’s Place, Dave Pensado and Herb Trawick. The NAMM TEC Awards will return in January at The 2021 NAMM Show. Event details and ticket information, along with Les Paul Innovation Award and Hall of Fame recipients, will be announced soon.
